Tadougs, a beloved donut store with a unique potato recipe, has finally opened in Peoria, Illinois. The new location, located at 7024 University St., opened for a trial run on December 12th and officially opened on Wednesday, December 14th.

Peoria residents were eagerly awaiting the opening and the store was packed on opening day. Donuts were flying off the shelves and customers were thrilled to finally get a taste of Tadoughs.

“The excitement was overwhelming,” said Rick Butler, owner of Tadoughs. We are so grateful for the warm welcome we have received from the Peoria community.

The Peoria store is Tadoughs’ second location in Pekin, Illinois. The original store has been in business since the 1960’s and is known for its signature potato donuts (Spudnuts). The Peoria location offers a variety of classic and specialty donuts as well as coffee and other beverages.

The new store has a sleek, modern design with bright orange décor and features seating and meeting rooms. A giant donut model with brown frosting and bright orange sprinkles stands out next to the storefront window.

“We want this to be a destination,” Butler said. People can come here to relax and enjoy a delicious donut and a cup of coffee.

Butler and his team are committed to providing excellent customer service and using the highest quality ingredients. They are also excited to share their passion for donuts with the Peoria community.

“We’re just getting started,” Butler said. We have ambitious plans for Tadoughs in Peoria and beyond.

The Peoria location will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Peoria location will be open from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Tadougs also plans to open a third location in Decatur, Illinois, and is looking for franchise opportunities throughout the United States.
